國際交流
本所透過長期合作，積極與國外教師交流合作，拓展本所師資。如本所與美國姐妹校 University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee 資訊學院合作，每學年雙方師資互訪，進行講學與學術研究交流。過去已邀請該學院院長Johannes Britz及多位教授Jin Zhang, Hur-Li Lee, Xiangming Mu, Iris Xie至本所講學。
此外，針對課程及研究重點，也以客座積極爭取國外師資的加入，如2008年邀請美國 University of North Carolina at Penbroke 的數位內容學院院長Professor John Antoine Labadie來所上專任授課，及英國 Sheffield University 的資訊學院Dr. Jonathan Foster至本所協同教學等。整體而言，每學期皆有來自歐美各國重要學者專家至本所進行演講、短期講學及客座，平均每一至二個月就有相關演講及課程教 學。自本所成立以來，已有多國圖資相關系所學者來訪，包括美國 Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey、Syracuse University、University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee、University of Washington – Seattle、Texas Woman's University；英國 Sheffield University；丹麥 Royal School of Library & Information Science；愛爾蘭University College Dublin；澳洲University of Technology；新加坡 Nanyang Technological University；香港 The Chinese University of Hong Kong；中國大陸之北京大學、南京大學、廣州大學、南開大學等。
綜言之，本所期望能以跨校、跨系所之合作教學機制，建立具跨領域、國際化特色之教學團隊，以滿足學生多元之學習需求。
